Eric’s trying to learn the way
that Dumbo used to fly away
He flaps his ears to no avail,
sobbing deeply, what a wail!
Until his friend Friedrick the flea
convinced him it was time for tea.
They saunter off to Eric’s flat
so Eric soon forgot all that.
While Eric and Friedrick watch the telly
his Grandma brings them bowls of jelly
and all the sorrow melts away;
He’ll try to fly another day.
(I’ll tell you a secret nobody knows:
Eric’s grandmother has painted red toes!)
